ROCK OF AGES PRISON MINISTRY

Dear Pastors and Churches;

I pray that you had a great holiday season.  Janice and I enjoyed this time with our children and grandchildren.  Janice received a great surprise.  Her brother and his wife came from Florida to spend a few days with us.  We had some great days of fellowship.

At the prison I had a great time preaching and once again telling the story of our Savior’s birth.  God blessed with eight men being saved and many others rededicating their lives to serve Him.  I also tried to encourage them.  This is a very difficult time for men in prison, because they are away from their family.

This month I attended our annual week of refreshment.  It was held at the Ekklesia Baptist Church in Ooltewah, TN, where the Pastor is Dr. Gene Hooker.  There was some great preaching and teaching during this week.  On Thursday evening there was a Cajun meal prepared for us.  The gumbo and jambalaya was delicious.

Please pray as I am planning a trip to Romania in April.  I will be teaching a course on Chaplaincy to the Romanian Nationals.  I also will be hopefully preaching in some prisons and churches.  One day I may be meeting with the officials of the prisons.  This meeting is to try and get them to allow some of the nationals to work as Volunteer Chaplains in the prisons of Romania.  I will be leaving on Monday, April 9, 2007 and returning the following Tuesday, April 17, 2007.  I celebrate my 57th birthday on the 9th of April.  The expense of this trip is going to be around $1500.00.

I would like to close by saying thank you all who prayerfully and financially support the work at BMCX and MCCX.  Janice and I also appreciated the gifts given during Christmas.  Because of your giving, we were able to give to others.
