We offer a variety of opportunities for Christian outreach at Sonlight Baptist Church in Colbert, GA. Ministry opportunities are available for all age groups and interests. We urge you to get involved in any of our church ministries and serve God’s people with gladness.
Ministries in Our Church
Music
Music plays an important part of the ministry here at Sonlight Baptist Church. We have a talented choir that sings special songs on Sundays.
Sunday School
We have a Sunday School class for every age.
Nursery
We have experienced nursery volunteers to watch your little ones so that you can worship God without distractions.
Children’s Church
During Sunday morning service, we have Children’s Church for the small children. The children enjoy singing, watching puppet stories, and listening to Bible stories.
Missions
Our church strongly believes in taking the word of God to the ends of the earth. We support missionaries around the world that are planting churches and spreading the word of God. Please see our Missions page for a list of the missionaries we support.
Nursing Home Ministry
On Tuesday nights, several members of our congregation visit Quiet Oaks Nursing Home to sing and share God’s Word with the residents there.
Wednesday Night Youth Ministry
On Wednesday night, we have the Anchor Club for ages 3 through sixth grade. The Anchor Club is designed to train children to love and live the Bible. The club teaches basic biblical theology using age-appropriate materials. There are classes for older children designed for each age group.
